Cuyonon and Tagalog Music of Palawan
Every Friday (5 to 6 in the afternoon), DJ Guru of I-fm 99.9 Palawan features musicians LIVE at his BASKOG PROGRAM. Last May DJ GURU featured DJ JOJO, together with Ronwald dela torre and Rico Peria-Padrones (all Cuyonons)at his program. This is their translation/rendition of Updharma down’s OO in the Cuyonon language. Some lyrics were sung in Tagalog some in Cuyonon so that more kids in Palawan will understand the song and become interested in learning Cuyonon. This is just one example of using your own culture in your work of art or your day to day activities.
